Right from the hotel’s main entrance to the rooms, the hotel has a striking appearance and style to it, making it very admirable to be here. It is located in the popular and particularly bustling tourist and shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui, in the south of the Kowloon Peninsula. YHA Mei No House Youth Hostel

- Google review: 4.2/5
- Booking.com: 7.9/10
- Agoda: 8.4/10
- Price: $100/night
Even though the name says hostel, this is more of a hotel. In more ways than one, the YHA Mei No House Youth Hostel is far better than most low-budget hotels around. It is located in Sham Shui, which is not particularly the neon-lit commercial hub that many travelers might imagine when they get to Hong Kong. However, from this hotel, you can experience some of the local life. You will have easy access to an authentic neighborhood with bustling street life, casual eateries, and a wet market. There are also two MTR stations within a 10-minute walking distance, both offering easy connections to Kowloon’s more well-known neighborhoods.
Compared to some low-budget hotels and hostels, the rooms here are pretty spacious, fresh, and bright. The clean interiors are relatively modern, with simple pops of bright green and cool Hong Kong photographs illustrating local landmarks and street scenes adding personality. The configurations vary from private doubles and themed family-friendly rooms to four- and eight-bed dorms. But with each room, you get en-suite bathrooms. This hotel emphasizes history with an on-site museum that chronicles the property’s major role in Hong Kong’s history. It is quite hard to get such quality at this price in Hong Kong.

These are Sai Ying Pun and the MTR station A2 exit.
With these, you are well connected to the rest of the city, making it easier to even explore. Not only that but the hotel itself is located in the heart of the city’s entertainment and business districts. There are also some high-end restaurants around, all of which offer amazing cuisine. What’s not to love about this hotel?
